To ensure all SU Student Leaders are confident and prepared for their roles, we provide a range of free training and development opportunities. Some trainings are mandatory for specific Student Leader roles as they cover the basic expectations, processes and knowledge to be successful in the role.
We have additional (optional) opportunities to develop your skills and experience further, including Public Speaking training and Community Organising training. These opportunities are usually open to all students, though priority may be given to SU Student Leaders.
Our Training Matrix shows which training modules are mandatory and which are advised for each Student Leader role.
E-learnings: Available 24/7 on Canvas in a choice of formats, witha quiz to complete to pass the module. SU staff will provide access for all Student Leaders.
Live group sessions: These may take place in person or on Teams and involve interactive activities. Sign-up will often be required via the SU website.
