YOUR Students' Union is run by students for students. Our vision for our members is to provide each student with opportunities to grow, develop and achieve, throughout life. We want to make sure these experiences are valuable: to you, alumni, employers, and society more broadly; and that they encourage more equal access to jobs, and to roles in civil society.
We offer you high quality, social action opportunities on campus, in Sunderland and beyond. Get involved to gain new experiences, confidence, connections and skills for life. Whatever opportunities you take, as a Students’ Union volunteer you can expect training and support from the SU team to help you achieve your goals. Take action and get involved!
Student recruiters support the University and Students Union in their recruitment processes by taking part in student panels to represent the student voice.
Roles range from academic posts, senior management/ executive positions within the University to Student Communities Officers and SU management roles within the Students’ Union. All of these roles have an impact on student experience, so it is important that students have a voice within the recruitment process.
Full training and support will be provided for the role from the Student Communities Advisor. Once trained, you’ll be notified throughout the year when new panels become available, so you’ll be able to opt in to any that fit around your schedule!
