Join a small, highly collaborative Students' Union team at the University of Sunderland in London campus in Canary Wharf, where your work makes a real difference to how students experience university. You'll support students to run their own societies, campaigns and representation, training and coaching student leaders and making sure the processes behind it all run smoothly.

We're looking for someone who builds strong relationships, works confidently across difference, is passionate about helping students organise for change, and can manage their own workload well. Students' Union experience isn't required.

Working hours:

Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Student Voice Representatives (SVRs) play an important role in improving the academic experience at the University of Sunderland in London. They listen to students, collect feedback about their courses and represent students’ views to University staff and Sunderland Students’ Union.

SVRs provide an important link between students, the University and Sunderland Students’ Union. They work with students and staff to raise academic concerns, communicate feedback and help identify possible improvements to the student experience.

The role also provides an opportunity to develop valuable communication, leadership, teamwork and representation skills while making a positive difference to your course and the wider London Campus community.

We are currently recruiting Student Voice Representatives for the following course areas:

• MBA and International Business Management
• Undergraduate Business
• Project Management and Engineering Management
• Nursing and Public Health

Key responsibilities

• Gather feedback from students about their course.
• Represent students’ views at relevant meetings.
• Communicate updates and outcomes to students.
• Work with University staff and the Students’ Union to improve the student experience.
• Encourage students to share their ideas, concerns and suggestions.

Successful Student Voice Representatives will receive training and support throughout the role.
