Is Islam Still Relevant in the Western Society?
Join us for an evening of thought-provoking discussion as we explore one of the most compelling questions facing Muslims in Britain today.
On 22nd April 2026, 5:00-7:00 PM, AMSA welcomes two distinguished guest speakers who will share their insights, experiences, and perspectives on the role of Islam in contemporary Western society.
Sabahat Karim, an Islamic Jurist and Regional Youth Leader with over 15 years of experience serving as an Imam across East Africa and the UK, offers a wealth of scholarly and pastoral wisdom.
Alongside him, Danish Junaid Ahmad - one of Britain's youngest Imams and a graduate in Theology and Modern Languages - brings a fresh, home-grown voice to questions of faith and identity in the West.
Whether you're Muslim, non-Muslim, or simply curious, this is an open and welcoming space to engage with ideas that matter. Come with your questions, your thoughts, and an open mind, and don't forget to bring a friend or family member along!
Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria, try to come 15 minutes early, settle in, and enjoy some food and conversation as the evening gets underway.
