Explore the beautiful area around our campus through the stunning annual light walk!
This year, Canary Wharlf is celebrating their tenth edition of Winter Lights, and to mark the occasion, the festival will embody the theme DREAMSCAPE – taking visitors on a journey through surreal, ethereal and uniquely human experiences. Through the festival, they hope to create a sense of whimsy and escapism, but also a sense of inspiration and connection you can carry with you into the rest of the year.
When? 20th January - 31st January everyday from 5pm - 10pm.
Do I need to book? Winter Lights is free to attend, no ticket or pre-booking required, just turn up and enjoy.
Is the walk accessible? The trail is fully accessible. For accessibility information about each installation please speak to the event steward on site. An accessible map will be available to download from our website in January, or alternatively, pick up an A3 printout from our Info Point outside the Jubilee Line Station during the festival hours.

By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
For Your SU led events, ticket refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk.
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date, unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours. This is to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested more than 14 days after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable and cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transferred or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding and risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
