Hi everyone,
May was a month focused on student interaction, mental health advocacy, and building momentum for the 'Someone to Talk To' campaign. While not as event-packed as previous months, it provided meaningful opportunities to connect with students and colleagues.
On May 15th, during Mental Health Awareness Week at Riverside Campus, I partnered with Vicki to engage students on the importance of mental health. Though turnout was modest, I was able to speak with students directly, distribute wellbeing resources, and visit faculty buildings to encourage open dialogue around mental wellbeing.

May 22nd featured a team-building afternoon with SU staff, including a fun geocaching activity across both campuses. It was a great opportunity to learn more about my colleagues and strengthen our teamwork beyond the office environment.
On May 28th, I manned the help desk with Kay-Jay at St. Peter’s Gateway, offering guidance and signposting support services to new students, staff, and parents of prospective students. These interactions were insightful and provided a clearer view of the questions and concerns students have when joining the university.
