Hello everyone!
May has been another fulfilling and reflective month as the academic year draws to an end. With key milestones, final meetings, and ongoing campaign work, there has been lots to do. Here are some of the highlights from this month:
SU Awards Night - May gave us the opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements of students at our annual SU Awards. It was a joy to come together and recognize the individuals and groups who have gone above and beyond to make a difference to the student experience. A massive congratulations to all the nominees and winners for your contributions to the work of the SU.

Final Meeting as QAA Strategic Advisory Committee Member - This month also marked the end of my second and final term on the Student Strategic Advisory Committee for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). It’s been an incredible two terms of contributing to national discussions on student experience and academic quality, and I’m proud of the work we’ve achieved during that time. It’s been a privilege to bring our union’s perspective to this forum and ensure that student voices remain central in quality assurance.
Campaign for a Student Consultation Framework - A key focus this month has been progressing my campaign to establish a Student Consultation Framework at our university. I met with the Director of Student Journey to discuss how we can embed more consistent, meaningful opportunities for students to shape decisions that affect them. These conversations have been encouraging, and I’m hopeful we can lay the groundwork for lasting change that ensures student input is considered in university decision making.
