Hello, everyone!

Welcome to the February/March edition of my monthly blog, where we recap the exciting events and initiatives that took place on campus. As your President: Activities, I am delighted to share some highlights from the past month.

Induction Talk with Nursing Top-Up Students

We kicked off February with a warm welcome to our new Nursing Top-Up students. The induction talk provided valuable insights into the Students’ Union, academic expectations, resources, and support services available to our incoming nursing students. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and dedication of our future healthcare professionals as they begin their journey at our university.

Refreshers Fair

Our Refreshers Fair was a tremendous success, bringing together students from all backgrounds to explore the diverse range of clubs, societies, and opportunities available on campus. From sports teams to cultural organizations to academic societies, there was something for everyone to discover and get involved in. A heartfelt thank you to our student volunteers and organisers for making the event a memorable one!

Launching of Your SU @ Riverside Student Space

I am thrilled about the launch of Your SU @ Riverside, our newest student space on St Peter’s, dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and community engagement. This student space offers students a dynamic environment to study, socialise, and unwind. Whether it's hosting events, meetings, or workshops, Your SU @ Riverside is poised as a hub for student’s events and activities. After the launch, the space hosted its first event, a silent disco, with 75 students in attendance.

As we look ahead to the coming months, I am excited about the possibilities and opportunities that await us. Whether it's organising more engaging events, advocating for student rights, or fostering a sense of belonging on campus, I am committed to serving you, the student community, with dedication and passion.

Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments in the weeks to come.
