Environmental, Green and Sustainable (EGS) Group.
Sunderland City Council is looking for students who are passionate about looking after the environment to join their Environmental, Green and Sustainable (EGS) Group.
The EGS Group meet every term to discuss the climate crisis and low carbon action in Sunderland. Group members explore a range of sustainability focused topics, including waste, transport, energy, nature and much more!
After each meeting, group representatives meet with the city’s senior leaders at the 2030 Shadow Board to contribute to future plans and action in Sunderland.
A range of ages are welcome to collaborate, from Sunderland Schools, Sunderland Youth Groups, Sunderland College and the University of Sunderland.
The next meeting is taking place on the Tuesday 1st July at 4:00-5:30pm. Email lowcarbon@sunderland.gov.uk for more information about joining the EGS group!

Event Terms and Conditions
By booking onto/attending an SU event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.
For Your SU led events, ticket refunds are available on request to yoursuevents@sunderland.ac.uk.
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of the ticket booking date, unless the event is due to go ahead within 72 hours. This is to allow us to make the ticket available for resale. If a refund is requested more than 14 days after booking, or the event is taking place within 72 hours, a refund cannot be claimed.
Tickets are non transferable and cannot be re-sold. Any tickets that are found to be transferred or re-sold will not be valid. The only place you can buy a valid ticket for a Sunderland SU event is via our website.
Unless otherwise stated, participants are not permitted to attend with children due to safeguarding and risk assessment reasons.
Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to STUDENTS of the University of Sunderland ONLY.
