We're Supporting Movember

By President: Wellbeing - Oladimeji Adepoju (Prince) and Your SU

This month, we are supporting Movember.

As President: Wellbeing, one of my key initiatives revolves around tackling the social stigma faced by men regarding mental health and addressing the cultural barriers experienced by international students. That is why I’m delighted that we are supporting Movember, which raises awareness and money to take on men’s mental health and suicide prevention, as well as prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

What we're doing

Movember is most famous for doing this by encouraging the fun growing of moustaches in support of the campaign. And of course, we’re getting involved with this aspect too! Our staff members Hélder Costa, Frank Sverha and Dan Fow are growing their facial hair, and we’ll be keeping you up-to-date with their progress on our socials!

Movember also offers a number of other fundraising suggestions, including ‘Move for Mental Health’ (walking 60km throughout the month), ‘Host a Mo-Ment’ (putting on an event) and ‘Move your Own Way’ (where you can come up with your own challenge). Hélder and Frank will also be walking 60km in November.
