Let there be light! Diwali Festival

We kicked off November with the Diwali festival, celebrating good over evil and light over darkness. Lighting up the campus with joy and togetherness, fellow students came together to celebrate Diwali, filling the campus with vibrant traditions, delicious treats, and colourful festivities.

Graduations

It was delightful to see our brilliant students complete their academic journey at the University as they walked across the stage with family and friends watching on. On behalf of the Students’ Union, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you on reaching this incredible milestone! Your perseverance, passion, and dedication have brought you here, and your graduation marks not just the end of your academic journey, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with endless possibilities.

To the Class of 2024, YOU DID IT!!! Congratulations – we are proud of you.

International Tourism Day

Back on campus, we also celebrated the world on International Tourism Day! Students gathered at the SU for a vibrant event showcasing global cultures, travel tips, and the beauty of exploration. From interactive exhibits to live performances, world quizzes, photo exhibitions of iconic places in their country of origin as well as displays of intercontinental cuisines. It was a day of connection, curiosity, and discovery!

Members Meeting

Empowering voices, shaping the future! Students gathered for an important meeting to review and vote on proposed changes to the Students’ Union's democracy and governance, which were passed. A step forward in strengthening transparency, accountability, and student representation. With your support we have been able to achieve this, and we are looking forward to implementing some of the changes next year and beyond. Your voice matters!
