Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had a great start to 2025.
I’m pleased to be able to share some updates on progress made in my campaigns since my last blog. For each of my campaign priorities, I’ve included a brief reminder of what the campaign is about, followed by an update on progress made.

Campaign Updates
Student Consultation Framework - This is to advocate for the introduction of a student consultation framework in the University to ensure student input is obtained in decision making. A focus group discussion was held with a group of interested students to consult about the expectations and principles of the framework from the student perspective. Several interesting themes were discussed and these have been documented. This will be used to create the final document.
Module Evaluation Survey - The aim of this campaign is to encourage consistency in use of this feedback mechanism across schools and faculties. A survey on the module feedback form has been carried out among Course Reps and Voice Reps. This survey is now closed and the information gathered is being analysed.
PGT Employability - The goal here is to improve student outcomes of postgraduate-taught students and ensure they are suitably prepared for employment after graduation. The Centre for Graduate Prospects has been helpful in gathering data and collaboration is ongoing with them.
