Graduations, Diwali and International Men’s Day – President: London November 2023 Update

Wow, November breezed by, didn't it?

What a month it has been! It started with a bang as we witnessed graduations - yours truly graduated on day one and had the honour of representing you all on stage the next day as an SU President. A double dose of pride, indeed!

Next up, Diwali lit up our 3rd floor with vibrant colours and creativity. Our painting session, requested by you, brought together staff and students. Clay pots turned into masterpieces as Vishwajit; your Chair of the Student Council, curated a playlist that added rhythm to our brushstrokes. Can we say #FunTimes?

Bringing November to a magnificent close was the very first International Men's Day Event here at University of Sunderland in London. Workshops, inspiring speakers, a heartfelt video message from the VC, and delightful refreshments—it was an event to remember. And everyone who joined us received special gift bags courtesy of Your SU.

Feedback and NUS Delegates

The Digital Learning Project continues its triumphant journey, and have you spotted the shiny new vending machines on the 3rd floor? Your feedback is really important to us - drop by Your SU Help Desk on the 3rd floor to grab a card and share your thoughts!

Lastly, we had candidates campaigning to be NUS Delegates on the 3rd floor, to represent you at the National Union of Students (NUS) Conference next year. It was great to see so many London students involved in this process and keen to make sure the voice of UoSiL is heard at a national level.
