Spring Into Your SU

Student Voice Rep

  • Student Voice Reps are the representatives of an entire School, working directly with Heads of School to develop the student experience on a larger scale.
  • They do this by bridging the gap between Course Reps and staff, identifying and solving issues that are affecting the entire school, then advocating for student concerns and feedback in higher level meetings at the University.
  • We are currently recruiting for Student Voice Reps!

Course Rep

  • Course Reps are the representative voice of their peers who volunteer to be the vital link between student body, staff and the Students' Union. Ideally, every course, in every year, should have at least one.
  • This involves engaging with students to gather feedback on their experiences, challenges, and opinions about the programme, and communicating this feedback and negotiating outcomes with academic staff.

  • Become a buddy if you would like to help our students settle into university life, show them around Sunderland or attend events together to get to know them better.
  • This is a great way to help people feel more comfortable, make new friends and become more familiar with the area.
  • Open to all students who’ve completed at least one semester with us.
